Silverglobe is an open source custom control for Silverlight 1.1 (soon Silverlight 2.0) that renders a global map onto a vector based 3D globe.
The globe can be freely rotated in all directions and geographical locations can be added and selected.
Silverglobe is based on a 3D engine using vectors, matrices and quaternions. The project files include the full source code for the engine.
To show off the capabilities of Silverglobe and to demonstrate its usage, it contains a little sample application that lets you explore upcoming .NET conferences around the globe.
Silverglobe is available at silverglobe.xaml-kru.com and on CodePlex (in the next couple of days).
Download Silverglobe (Silverlight 2.0 Beta 1 Version).
Please make sure to set Silverglobe.Web as start project and index.html as start page!
